Welcome to Happy Kids Daycare. Thank you for visiting our website. My name is Cierra, and I am the Director of Happy Kids. While I am newly stepping into the Director role, I have been a part of the Happy Kids family since 2008. Over the years, I have worn many hats within the center, gaining hands-on experience in a variety of classrooms and roles. Prior to becoming Director, I was the Lead Preschool Teacher for 4½ years, where I developed a strong passion for early childhood education and building meaningful relationships with children and families. I’m excited to continue growing with our program and supporting our staff, children, and families each day.

Happy Kids is a community daycare facility located next door to Maple Hill High school and within the Emmanuel Reformed Church in Castleton NY. We have been a part of the Schodack community for over 35 years and have served hundreds of families from Albany, Rensselaer and Columbia counties.

Our program provides children with developmentally appropriate hands on activities that encourage children to explore the world around them through participation, imagination and the ability to create on their own. This will serve as the foundation of life long learning. Our lesson plans are theme based with a focus on early literacy and emergent math skills.
